Oversees Ghana's diplomatic relationships and supports diaspora citizens navigating international travel, dual citizenship, and consular services.

Ministry of the Interior

Governs domestic security, civil registration, and the legal frameworks that regulate residency and immigration status for non-citizens.

Ghana Immigration Service (GIS)

Administers all visa extensions, residency permits, and border operations. Your primary point of contact from tourist visa to permanent residency.

National Identification Authority (NIA)

Issues the Ghana Card, the non-citizen ID that unlocks banking, SIM registration, and long-term residency. Your first stop after landing.
